Accessibility Information

We want everyone to have the best time possible at BASSINTHEGRASS.

How are we doing this? Check out some relevant accessibility information below.

BASSINTHEGRASS is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for all attendees. We’re proud to work closely with our accessibility industry partner, Carpentaria, to ensure our events are accessible to everyone, including people with disability.

Together with Carpentaria, we review and refine our accessibility plans, visual aids, and event infrastructure to identify ways to make our event more inclusive. This includes ongoing feedback from Carpentaria staff and participants who attend BASSINTHEGRASS and complete post-event surveys to help shape future improvements.

Key Accessibility Initiatives at BASSINTHEGRASS:

Dedicated Viewing Platform
A raised platform offering better visibility for attendees with mobility needs.

Accessible Matting
Matting installed onsite to ensure smoother navigation for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Sensory Bags
Free sensory bags are available at the Accessibility Information Booth and The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Information Booth including communication cards, sensory toys, sunflower lanyards, ear buds and more — all designed to help create a more comfortable environment.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Initiative
BASSINTHEGRASS is proud to partner with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Initiative. Sunflower lanyards and wristbands are free and available to collect from the Accessibility Information Booth and The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Information Booth.

Sunflower lanyards tell other people that you might need extra help, understanding, or just more time.

Staff have completed the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower training and wear the sunflower supporter lanyards if you need support.

Changing Places Facility
This year, there will be a portable Changing Places which offers a versatile solution to assist people with high support needs who are not adequately supported by standard accessible toilets.

Access and Inclusion Guide
A comprehensive guide to all accessibility services and facilities will be available soon on the BASSINTHEGRASS website.

If you have any specific questions or accessibility needs, please don’t hesitate to contact our team ahead of the event or speak to a staff member or Accessibility Ambassador on the day.
