Prep for bass

First time at BASS? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with our top tips to help you have the best time at Darwin’s biggest and best music festival!

Keep your cool

Darwin is famous for its sunny weather, so make sure you bring a hat and some sunnies to BASS! We’ll also have plenty of free sunscreen, bottles of water and water refill stations on site – make sure you stay sun safe and keep hydrated! Need to take some time out? You can find a Chill n Charge Zone at BASS, where you can relax in the shade and take advantage of our free phone charging stations. You’ll need plenty of battery to grab a snap of a stunning Mindil Beach sunset for the ‘Gram!

I.D.

Over 18 and want to enjoy a few drinks at BASS? There are several fully licenced bars, but those over 18 will need to provide their ID to access these areas. That said, we don’t want anyone missing out, so kids under 13 can enter this all-ages event free with a ticketed adult.

Tickets & Passouts

Of course you’ll need this to get in, but you can also flash it to the bus driver and get free public transport from the city to Mindil Beach (and back) on the day of the festival. Remember, there are no passouts at BASS – once you’re in, you’re in!

What to leave at home

Check out our list of prohibited items on our FAQ‘s page, so you know what you can and can’t take to BASS. Remember, we have free water for BASS goers and plenty of food options on site, so leave your picnic baskets and camp chairs at home!

When you need a helping hand

Our Event Champions are there to help you! They are a friendly, non-judgmental crew of music lovers dedicated to ensuring you have a fun and safe day. The Event Champions station is located near the entrance if you need a hand, or just want to say hey!
