Safety is number one at BASS

Event Champions & DanceWize

Not all heroes wear capes! We are proud to work with a bunch of incredible Event Champions at BASS, who are there to help you no matter what! They are a friendly, non-judgmental crew of people dedicated to ensuring you have a fun and safe day. The Event Champions station is located near the entrance – make sure you say hey!

We are stoked to welcome back the team from DanceWize at this year’s BASS! This friendly bunch is made up of peer volunteers who offer education, resources and referrals around harm reduction, sexual health and wellbeing issues. Be sure to give them a wave when you see them at BASS.

DanceWize is looking for volunteers to work at this year’s BASS. There are roles in the chill-out zone and education space, or sign up as a Rover or Counsellor. You’ll need an understanding of the issues affecting people who enjoy the festival scene, knowledge of harm reduction (or a willingness to learn) and top-notch interpersonal skills. Think you’ve got what it takes to be a young, fun, peer volunteer? Visit DanceWize Darwin Volunteer Opportunities Survey (surveymonkey.com)
