RACHEL RACHEL

Rachel was born into a family of musicians. Partly due to this, but mostly due to the fact that there was very little to do in the small country town she grew up in, she began writing songs from a very young age. Rachel recently moved to Darwin to play music full time and focus on finishing recording her first album which has been a long time in the waiting. Over the years she has definitely found her own very distinctive sound. She has developed her own niche of acoustic rap that not many artists delve into, particularly not women. With skilful guitar, beautiful vocals, fast spitting rhymes and catchy as all hell pop songs, she is going to be doing big things in 2017.

POLE TOP RESCUE

Pole Top Rescue burst into the public consciousness in 2014 with their Darwin anthem, Budju.  The song has since racked up over 41,000 views on YouTube and become a huge crowd favourite at their gigs. Building on this momentum, the band entered the studio with ARIA nominated producer Stuart Stuart (The Veronicas, Sheppard) in 2015 to record their second EP, Rhymes and Riddles. Featuring the track Ladida, the EP continued the bands success and lead to a publishing deal with Embassy Music Publishing. Combining great tunes, epic musicianship and an undeniable groove, Pole Top Rescue have cemented themselves as one of Darwin’s best bands.

FINNESIN'

Of unknown origins, hailing straight from Darwin, “Finnesin’” are a sibylline rapper/singer duo. Both of which are shrouded in mystery, seemingly coming out of nowhere, they hope to reinvigorate the NT music scene with a moody yet intoxicating sound. A sound which is inspired by a myriad of different artists, although without a large discography – yet, what is available to the public is an eclectic but distinct sound. The ride has just begun, and has already ascertained a number of fans, it won’t be long until you join as well. As their hit suggests, won’t you come for this ride.
